take care and start putting your game collection in tupperware and bundling it up in a beaver dam by the nearest river
There is a smaller one (compared to the ones in Crestline, ETC), in riverside county, more specificly temecula/winchester area (About 30 minutes north of san diego county line). That is about a mile away from my house growing up (My parents still live there). It's threatening a lot of home. But because it isn't as big as the ones in Simi Valley. It's not getting alot of news coverage...

Holy...shit. That's insane. Watch your ass, Rhydant.Officials urged businesses to let employees stay home Monday as forecasters warned of hotter weather and strong, dry winds — perfect fuel for blazes that have been blamed for at least 13 deaths and the destruction of 850 homes since last week.

nah, i dont really have much to worry about unless the 'Paradise' Fire gets so godly out of control that it sweeps all the way across Escondido and hits San Marcos.
BoxDrink on the other hand... well, lets just say i wouldnt be surprised if he was sleeping on my couch by wednesday.
Word has it that the SB blaze is the result of arson. I hope the bastard(s) responsible get what's coming to them, whether by justice or karma. 850 homes....damn.
Several people I work with who live in the Claremont area have been evacuated. One woman said the fire was 100 yards from her house. Good friends of mine live in Upland, directly south of the fire, and they told me they barely saw the sun all weekend, the smoke was so thick. They said it was like living in Mordor.
I've lived here all my life, and this always happens seasonally, but this is the worst I can remember.
Weather report says things will cool down by week's end, with even the possibility of some rain in the mountains.
Take care, fellas.

Stupid Californians.
Fire, flood, earthquarkes, draught, enrgy crisis, political upheaval,..
almost like a movie or something
Holy shit, the news footage looked like the opening credits to Terminator 2, with the playground engulfed in flames... </irony>
Fox said yesterday:
300,000 acres burned.
800 homes gone.
13 killed.
If it's arson, charge them for murder and the cost of all fire department/etc.
yeah, these fires are really fuckin annoying me. they're preventing me from going on my daily jog.
