Does this mean your going to see the 2pac movie coming out?
Tupac died in 1996. It was, I guess, tragic - he was a decent enough rapper, though he was overwhelmed by the rap cliches that eventually did him in.
So let him rest in peace, right?
NOPE, MOM!
Fucking woman has "overseen" the complete tarring and feathering of her son's legacy. Tupac had four albums before he died, and one right after (Makaveli). However, in the seven years since he died, no less than SEVEN FUCKING TUPAC ALBUMS HAVE COME OUT! What the fuck is this bullshit?
Let's also not forget those fucking documentaries and videos that try to make him out to be some sort of thug saint... "rose that grew out of concrete", my ass! Dude was just another rapper who grew up in a shitty neighborhood and eventually managed to grow out of all that... by simply rapping about it. He was no fucking freedom fighter. He was no fucking champion of African-Americans. He has hanging with Death Row for his remaining days, and if anybody in the rap world has ever exploited the shitty urban/drug-infested/gang-ridden/crime-plagued life of poor black people, it's Death Row.
SO STOP IT, TUPAC'S MOM!
I read in Blender that there's now gonna be a fucking Tupac clothing line, of course being churned out by who else? His mother? Jeez, Tupac had no interest in clothing while he was still alive. Does his mom just want to turn him into another assembly-line rapper with a shitty clothing label like Jay-Z, Beanie Siegel, and who the fuck else?
This is ridiculous. Let the songs the guy released while he was still alive speak for themselves. This is fucking exploitation. Let him rest in peace. The music world does not need this bullshit.
p.s. I also have similar gripes with Hendrix's family for similar reasons.
Does this mean your going to see the 2pac movie coming out?
DiffX, what's with the wit tonight? I agree. She's turned Tupac into some kind of iconic figure for young blacks to hate the world around. Some I can't blame, but let's get real. He didn't do anything except try to sell records.

At least the Hendrix family's exploitation has been comedic at times. Such as saying that "Purple Haze" and other songs were inspired by sci-fi.

Diff, I agree with all the shit you said. I've often been thinking the same things myself, though I had no idea it was Tupac's very own MOTHER who was whoring out her own son's memory and scraping the bottom of the barrel for all his unreleased rap tracks and putting them out. Hey, they were unreleased for a reason, maybe he didn't like them, cuntrag.
Let's not forget Yoko Ono. She's probably sell John Lennon's fucking teeth if she could.Originally Posted by diffusionx

The production value on his post-mortum released stuff is really shitty too. At least no other dead MC has gone this route, I actually like Big L's stuff that was released after he died (the little I've heard, I don' think there's much but I could be wrong), but a lot of this Tupac shit is... well... shit.
This is one of the first topic titles to ever make me laugh. Congratulations.

It's just another example of the main-stream popularity that has invaded the rap world. There is very few left who havn't become media whores, and that's what Tupacs mom is making him in death...a media whore. Seems like everyone these days has to be "cool" and "hip" but all in all it's just BS.
At least they didn't edit footage of him into Ma$e videos like they did with biggie. Ma$e was the worst ever.
