Yup, and in my case, Wipeout and Twisted Metal made the PSX an easy purchase. Zoop and WWF WrestleMania: the Arcade Game, my first two PSX purchases, made me love the system originally, but the first two games amazed me in screens. Twisted Metal still dazzles me to this day.

You do know that Zoop was available on the SNES and Genesis?

Yes, but at the time, the PSX version was the cheapest one available. I've since bought those two versions of the game, and enjoy playing Zoop on the Nomad.

Sorry bout that, ill try and shorten my idea. I just added another branch of the whole "portable is different that console". I said that for the age group targeted, portable will be different because everyone sees your habits, as opposed to when you are in your own home. So, perhaps sony will not be able to appeal to the adult age groups in the same way.

How long will it take you whiners to figure out that Nintendo is and always has been Nintendo? They do what they want and despite their first quarterly loss in over a fucking century, they shovel money into boats and drive it straight to Yamauchi's house.

If you don't like their stuff, don't buy it or play it. I mean if the reason you cite for not being able to get into Nintendo anymore is because you're "all grown up now", don't you think you could find something better to do with yourself than sitting at an online message board waiting for someone to say that they like Nintendo so that you can express just how "all grown up" you are by putting down Nintendo, their fans and demanding better graphics from handhelds and games in which you get to pretend you're an important human being(ya know, like a military strategist/general or some crazy space marine with a machine gun or maybe even a superduper racecar driver...)?

If you want realism, read history. If you want some good natured light hearted fun, buy a Nintendo product. Your pubescent fantasies of being big and tough play well on the competitors systems so why not play 'em and shut the fuck up?

You're missing the actual point to bring up an old tired point that represents no one on TNL.

Nintendo used to make awesome games. Now they make average games. Their now-infantile game designs don't bother anyone as much as the fact that Mario, Zelda, Star Fox, Metroid (arguably), and Kirby are nothing compared to what they used to be.
