Glad everything is going ok with you, it doesn't seem like a big thing to us over on the East Coast but fires can be pretty devastating, especially on the scale that CA has been experiancing them.
I live in San Diego and have seen first hand the ashes in the streets and in the air.
The fire doesn't appear to be coming to my part of town. The sun was red for two days. I still have everything ready to go in case I have to evacuate. I called all of my friends yesterday and made sure they were all right. I won't be posting for a couple of days because it is the wish of our city leaders that we stay off of the phone, stay indoors, and minimize water use.
So, I will stay home, do some homework, and play video games. I will be taking sponge baths and not washing clothes until Monday, when the fire will be contained. I'm seriously considering giving blood. My friend the nurse has been working a lot.
I have already prayed for those who have lost their lives in this terrible disaster and my heart goes out to all those that have lost their homes. I may have to babysit soon as my friend will be doing a lot of nursing. In that event, I will check out this thread with my friend's cable modem. Otherwise, this thread is just to tell people that I am alive and well.
Let's all keep our fingers crossed and hope that the winds don't pick up. Peace!
