I am extremely thankful for the existence of the Xbox version of DX2. I would rather buy the PC version for the controls but there's no way my PC can run the game. Since the game was simultaneously developed for Xbox, I imagine it won't suffer from port-itis.
Oh, and Deus Ex 3 has been confirmed to be under development...

I missed out on the first one, and my main computer is a mac...even then, big screen + surround sound and comfortable gaming furniture = Xbox version for me, as long as it's competent. It really sounds like the type of game I'd like...are there RPG elements as well? I know you can equip your character with all sorts of modificiations, but I didn't know if his "stats" leveled as well.
Dude, do yourself a favor and pick up the Mac version of Deus Ex. You can find it for $15 online or even in some stores. It's an amazing game and will get you ready for part 2.Originally Posted by FuryFox
You gain experience for completing main tasks or side tasks. You can use those exp points to increase certain skills. Each level has different paths that you can take to complete the goal of the level. The difficulty of the different paths is of course determined by the skills you have focused on.Originally Posted by FuryFox
Definetly play it. I am making my seventh run trough the PC version.Originally Posted by soundwave
This game has levels? Can you travel to them pretty much any time like KOTOR?

I don't know exactly how they're making the second game but the first Deus Ex is divided into levels and no you can't travel to them any time.
That might sound limiting compared to most RPGs and compared to DX's closest resemblers, the System Shock games which let you backtrack like Metroid but each level itself has so much to explore that I never felt like I was limited.
