Great games that got ruined for you

Add me to the list of people who had to deal with this. Can't believe I had to replay so much of the game because of that silly loophole

But... you don't HAVE to replay the game if you miss the Magnum. You aren't stopped from beating the game. You just don't have that gun. It's a prize for thinking to take the fire extinguisher with you.

Saga Frontier 2- My save is at the last dungeon, but no matter how hard I tried I could never kill the last boss. I screwed up, though, so I can't even get back to a town to buy more shit or anything. Lovely.

Golden Sun- SAve at the last boss. Can't beat him either, and I could go back and level up endlessly, but I really just don't care any more.

78 Stars into Mario 64, my son erased my file. I could never bring myself to start over. I was about 90% through Banjo Kazooie and he did the same thing. There was no way in hell I was going to re-collect all that junk in there. Oof. He was banned from loading/saving/starting new files for about 3 years.

Played the shit outta Super Mario World when it came out and got all the levels so the game file had the little star icon next to it. Having it saved like that for like 10 years only to have my niece play the game and erase it!!! DAMN KIDS!!!

Weak. Really weak. I tear through Mario 64 and SMW over vacations when I have nothing else to do. Neither is a challenge to get perfect completion in. Now, Banjo Kazooie... if I had found the majority of that fetch quest shit, I'd have been pissed too.

Things like that are why I don't let people touch my games unless I'm monitoring. That, and I'm glad not a lot of people other than me actually want to touch my Saturn. Because if someone damaged my PDS discs or deleted the saves off of my memory card, I'd paint the walls with their brains.

Every Thanksgiving (Columbus day) I'd get the hankering for some Super Mario World. Playing my buddy's borrowed copy, I'd complete the full 96 stages. Right after I gave it back, without fail, my friend's fucking cousin would erase my file. He also did this to the DKC 100% save file (after that I never played DKC again), and he lost the famicon/NES convertor. I hate that bastard.

Oh, oh - he also broke the SNES controller's R button.

Same for me except after, what, 3 or 4 years I haven't started over yet. Was Tyrant the one in the back of the plane? That's where I got to and had very little ammo.

I'm 30. I don't get school off for a week here and a week there, no 2+ months for summer vacation... I have a full time job and I'm a single dad whose son lives with him. I've got a lot of other stuff to do.
