Yup. Same here. I got the the end of disc 1 and just did not have the ammo to beat him. I came back a second time conserving the hell out of my ammo, beat him, and then quit about 10 minutes into disc 2 realizing that there would probably be another boss in the game, and that I had no desire to conserver ammo anymore. Absolutly nothing kills a game for me like limited ammo.

I'm 30. I don't get school off for a week here and a week there, no 2+ months for summer vacation... I have a full time job and I'm a single dad whose son lives with him. I've got a lot of other stuff to do.

I've lost what had to be at least 350+ hours (if not more) of Radiant Silvergun due to my Saturn battery dying on me twice.

2 more good ones, first is morrowind. I have actually double fucked this one,due to the shifting rules of this game.

the first problem was when i installed tribunal,and was doing some errands for almelexia, i accidentily walked into the temple wearing an inodril cuirass that i (irony) had gotten by solving the murder of a ordinator. Its great medium armor that looks very good ,and as an added bonus, will get ordinators to attack you on sight. so now i dont have the ordinators pissed at me, i have High ordinators pissed at me, to the tune of attack on sight, and i dont have any back saves to help, and i am level 50 and am not restarting this guy again. the funny thing is that its not all high ordinators, just the ones that stand still as guards, the ones that roam the halls evidently have a different ai, and are very nice to me(my temple rating is very high). so now every time i am in mournwald and have to enter the temple,i have to be ready with my calm humanoid spell or be ready for a fight.


The second fuckup was when i first got to solsteim, anywhere else you can put items into boxes in full view of the guards and take them out without repurcussians. unfortunatly in bloodmoon they changed that rule, so i had nearly lost some very good unique magic weapons. even stranger, neither chamelion spells nor a very high sneak ability could protect me when i went for them, so i eventually had to go for a very bloody resolution when i got a artifact that allowed me to bcome a werewolf at will. when you are a werewolf, your crimes are not pinned on you, so i had to kill of every guard in the outside area of the fort to get my stuff back.

My other messup was with kotor- on my first playthrough i played a female consular,and i was able to absolutely decimate the enemies with force wave, so i figured that outside of buff spells, i would not waste spell slots on other offensive magic, since i was lightside, so no lightning or choke, and i was taking robots out as easily as humans. So i get to the end, prepare to kill malek with my superior magic,and notice that force wave does not hurt the jedi that he feeds on, so i had to keep wearing him down with a combo of master speed and master flurry(which was bad since, as i had raised her as a caster, she sucked at hand to hand) so after he ate all 8 jedi i finally beat him, but i had to save each time, since his hard slash could nail me in very few hits. I did get revenge in the second play through with destroy droids and a buff heavy guardian, where i killed malek easily with 3 hits of master power stirke+master valor+master speed.

also this thread makes me feel lucky, i have a younger brother who never messed with any of my saves. I should evidently be thankful.

This hasn't ruined the game for me, since I still pick it up from time to time, but I had a Final Fantasy 3 save that had Celes at level 99. That was badass, she was equipped with the Genji Glove and whatever the item that lets you attack 4 times is, so in one round she would do eight attacks, each attack taking off 9999 damage.

I let a friend borrow it. It was strange, since he rarely played video games at all, much less RPG's. He didn't even have an SNES, he was borrowing one. I let him know that he could erase any of the other saves EXCEPT the level 99 Celes. file.

Guess which one he erased to use as his own save file?
