The Last House on the Left

Wes Craven's first film. Probally the most mean spirited movie I've ever seen. I did see the R rated one, the uncut, well I'm sure it has even more gore. I think the realisim makes this film so disturbing. Not sure if it will scar you for life, it all depends on your tolerance for this type of flick. Any opinions? thoughts on this horror film.

My mother was telling me how she saw this in theaters and she thought it was disturbing as hell. My brother and I have actually been meaning to check it out, I may do it this weekend, I'm glad this thread reminded me.

I've heard about over the years, but I've never seen it. I should, I like Craven.

Early Craven is good. Like many directors, such as John Carpenter, he's lost his touch with age...

It's weird, it's like he doesn't know what to do any more. After the success of Scream he got lost. The movie he's doing now has been in production hell. Not as bad as the latest Exorcist flick though.
