okay, heres a question: In the very very first town on that little mission you receive from the guy in the bar telling you to spy on this one guy in the town to see where he is storing his money - I'm having a bit a problem on it. Its probably not that important but dammit its annoying!!

Here's what happened: I awaited for nightfall and then climbed up to the top of the watch tower to spy on the guy who was supposed to be stashing the stuff. Anyway, I see the guy creeping around towards that little swamp, and he goes into the swamp towards the middle and does something there...I assume this is where he's hiding the stuff right? Well, after he leaves I go down there to check it out - but either nothing is there or thats the wrong hiding place cause theres nothing doing!! Whats going on with that?

Um...are you actually checking the hollow log? Or are you just standing knee-high in dirty swamp water waiting for a "trigger?" You actually have to search the log.

Well, I've jumped into the marsh and have tried to look in the hollow log but no dice. I even jumped ontop of the log to see if I could find anything ....oh ...shit...maybe I just wasn't hitting the spacebar. Oh well...I'm in Balmora now - and you guessed it - I need help.


I joined the thieves guild upon entering the city and was given a mission to steal a diamond from this jewelry store to give to some guy - anyway, in the jewlery store - the freaking diamonds are right next to the shopkeeper so its practically impossible to steal!!! Anyone know what to do?

walking around balmora i've noticed many stray citizens just happlessly walking around - with no one else in sight. I was wondering if I killed one of these NPCs away from the rest of the towns folk - could it be kept a secret or would everyone just know automatically?

It'll stay a secret. Unless you actually hear the victim call for the guard, it's been kept a secret. But if they do call for a guard, you become KOS. At least in my experience, anyway.

Also, if you steal from someone, and instead of them calling the guard (or you getting a "your activities have been reported" text box) they attack you, you're safe. You can walk right out the front door with the stolen goods and the guards won't touch you. I found this out in the lighthouse in Seyda. I picked the lock on her chest, pilfered a war hammer, she got her panties in a bunch and hit me while calling for the guards...but since she hit first, I got away scott-free.

thats great! because there are a couple bastards I'd like to off in that game - innocent townsfolk or not. It would have sucked if it couldn't have been kept a secret.

BTW - does anyone know what I'm referring to in the post I made above (with Tracers name on it) about the jewerly store robbery deal for the thieves guild in Balmora? I'm stumped as to what I should do.

There's a specific diamond to steal, I believe it's in a case somewhere else in the store, check in his personal stuff. I don't remember exactly, but I had cased out the place before I joined the Thieves Guild, and so had no problem stealing it.

thanks for the info man, I'll have to check that place out. I was gonna join the Fighters guild as well - but they practice honor and nobility and stuff - which is fine - but my current character is not that type of person. Plus, how the fuck can you justify being in the thieves guild and the honorable fighters guild? You'd violate the fighters guild by even being in the theives guild!!!! lol!!

Here's a latest account of some adventures I had.

Did some odds and ends jobs in Balmora for the thieves guild and fighters guild - most were simple and stuff. So I get a job from this guy at the fighters guild (corresponding to main quest) and he tells me to bring him some fucking magical box from some ruins somewhere - okay - no problem. So I set off from Balmora (glad to be away from that dreary town for awhile) and start on my course to the ruins.

One the way I run into a stranded dark elf woman - she wants me to lead her to some friendly as fuck 'field' - so I say yes and she tags along. Of course, as I am with my curious self, I come across that huge ass lake and look across the shore - wondering if per chance I could swim across unhindered and avoid a long ass walk around the lake - just get to the field directly that way. Well, I walk too close to the edge of this cliff and fall into the bloody lake!!!! DAR!!

I'm immediatley being struck by an unforseen aquatic enemy - and I manage to scramble up to shore and onto saftey - It was a deadly fish attacking me. HOWEVER! The fucking bitch who was following me followed me into the lake and was fighting the fishy out in the water with her fists - and gettting her arse kicked by the fish. OH GREAT - now I've gotta go and save her from certain death. So in I go stiking wildly. Finally from both of our attacks the fish dies. I get back onto land and start to rest a bit.

Much to my dismay the stupid woman runs after me and starts whaling on me - just nonstop!! Shit -I must have accidentally hit her somewhere in the foray with the fish. Well, I try to run away and avoid a fight but nothing doing...so I lead her into the woods and motherfucking gut her!!!!! A HA H AHA HA HAH AHAA HAHA HA!!!!!

(okay, well after that I just loaded up the save I made right before my dumb falling into the water - and lead the lady to saftey of the friendly field - whatever that was called.

heh...not much of an adventure - but I felt like sharing.

One thing I really liked was that one chick who was standing by the road - she got mugged by some bandit but was really smitten by the guy - and she asked me to take her glove to him as some token of affection. Cute little quest in which I ended up finding the guy (who wrote a love letter back to her) and delivered his letter to her. I

Man, its the little touches like this that make Morrowind great.

Now...where was I - oh yeah, shit I almost forgot!! I have to find that bloody magical box!!! Way too easy to get sidetracked in this game!!!!! :jest:

I think the best death EVAR in this game is when that idiot falls from the sky. You know, the one outside of Sedya Neen? Read his journal and you'll see what I mean. Damn funny.
