So how come it's the game's fault that you decided to go get the information necessary to find the "post" equipment in the game and made the game incredibly easy? You can sap the fun out of just about every game in existence if you read walkthroughs and faqs before playing.

More advice for Dyne (although Gongos is 100% correct): if you're not playing a fighter-type character, don't do fighter's guild quests until you're more powerful.
Nope, very rarely use gamefaqs. I simpkly search every town and do everything I can there, then check the map and go to all the ruins. You find some pretty badass stuff, like the ice blade of the monarch, pretty damn good weapon for not enchanting it yourself. I just started playing again yesterday, figured I'd start the Blades quests again, but instead got sidetracked once again. (It get's pretty annoying.) By the way, in case you haven't figured out by now, post = best, just a horrible typo in which I must've been thinking of posting, either that or I'm excuseless. One more thing, I never really bothered with my magic, so I was wondering when I started playing again, how come to success rate of my summon golden saint is 0, what's the corresponding attribute to raise the success?

  2. Don't use High Elves for fighting. They can fight if you work at it - but why would you want to? High Elves specialize in the single coolest skill in the game:

    Enchant.

You'll rock and rock fast with a High Elf by slowly leveling any weapon of your choice (for High Elves, spend more time on increaseing Agility and Endurance for your non-magic stuff) and really focus on yoiur alchemy and enchant. By making your own potions (heal and magicka restore, defence potions, resist magicka and all) and useing enchanted weapons (I recommend useing enchanted amulets, rings and betls - cast when used and constant effect stuff).

High Elves excel in many things, and all of them are magic related. Enchant, Alchemy, Destruction are your strong suits by nature - though it's uncertian that's what you chose. These guys are by no means middle of the road, they are very much magic guys. Not agile, fast or strong. Keep yourself alive with alchemy, attack with destruction and enchant and work on some Mysticisim to make your money. Soul Gems are quick cash when they have souls in them. My chracter would be best suited as a High Elf, I chose thier little cousin the Bretons (who are best with Alchemy, mystisim, conjuration and restoration). I suggest you try either House Telavanni, Mages Guild or Imperial Cult with a High Elf, but that all depends on how you made him/her to begin with. Gongos is right - If you do begin swinging swords - I do it to be sporting - a 2 handed sword is best for you. It's doubtfull that you'll easily become an artfull fighter like an Imperial, Nord or Orc but you can hack it if you play your enchanting/conjuring/destruction cards right. As always - alchemy is great. Use Marshmerrow and Corkbulb Root with a Master's or Grand Masters Mortar & Pestle (as well as Albemic, Retort and Calcinator) with a fortify Intelligence on (no fatiuge!!) and you'll, within reason, make Restore Health potions (assumeing your alchemy is 35 or greater) that restore 25+ points for 20+ seconds. In a fight against a Dremora Lord or a Big, Fast and Strong Orc with an Orcish Warhammer you'll need to take several of these in rapid sucession. Alchemy is good for everyone.

  3. Back into the game now - finally - I can sit at my comp without my back hurting to all hell. Have joined both the Imperial Cult and the Mages Guild...the latter of which I'm working on now. The imperial cult stuff I'll have to do from Ebonheart - which right now is a long way from Balmora...where my home base is.

  4. Hey - Do Ranis's quests before Edwinna in Ald Rhun. Edwinna sends you into some sticky situations :/ All of Ranis's quests can be completed without haveing to kill anyone along your way. The quests from Wolverine Hall/Sadrith Mora aren't too bad either. I can't stress how badass it is to really utilize your strenths in Conjuration and Enchant (alchemy is cool too). It's so much better than plain jane combat. It's nice to see your minions destroying everything as you sit from a safe perch zapping the remaining enemies with your magicks/enchanted items. Enchanted items are better than casting in a sticky situation. Quicker and failsafe and often more powerfull. Not to mention spare soul gems are like mineing your own gold.

  6. Sul-Mattul. He's the chief of the Urshilaku tribe, so go to the chief's (or whatever the hell he's called) Yurt. Shouldn't be too hard to find, because you've already talked to him and done a quest for him.

  7. This games is great to play, better than everquest in my book, one of my favorites.

  8. I might make an Aragonian for another character.... I think I'll call him Jumps-Too-Much.

Being better than eq = not a very hard task to do.

  10. Wow, can't believe I still found this thread- I'll admit, ever since Warcraft 3 came out Morrowind took a back seat, but I think I'm finally prepared to go back in and give the game a real serious play through.
