Mahjongg? None tailored to consoles AFAIK, but you can download plenty for Windows. Hell, I got a CD full of Majongg games.![]()
Actually, my girlfriend asked me to post this question. She recently downloaded a Mahjong game for her cell phone and is addicted to it. She's wondering if there was ever a U.S. release of a Mahjong game on any console? I don't recall one. I'm sure there must be plenty for the PC...

Are you talking about Mahjong? The only US version released that I can think of was one in Ultimate Brain Games for the GBA.
That's what I figured. Thanks.
Know of any sites off hand?
I knew I was misspelling it...I'll fix that. GBA? Thanks.Originally Posted by SmoothCriminal

A lot of bars have multi-arcade machines with things like trivia and such on them, and I've seen Mahjong on a few of them. If you have a truck and a crowbar, anyway.
[edit] I think there was one on Saturn, a friend of mine has it.
Are we talking about mahjong or Shanghai? The former is a rummy-like multiplayer game, the latter is a solo tile-matching game that's been cloned many times over. Shanghai has been ported to many consoles, and it should be pretty easy to find. I don't know of any mahjong games for consoles released in the US, but I think there's a few for PC.
Hong Kong Mahjong is one of the most popular PC ones: http://www.ninedragons.com/ There are probably thousands of Japanese console mahjong games, but the only US release I know of is Super Real Mahjong on the Saturn.
There are tons of Mahjong games out. There was Shanghai on the SNES and Genesis, Shanghai Triple Threat on the Saturn and I believe the PSX as well.

Shanghai is not fucking Mahjong, so everybody stop suggesting that it is.
If you are playing Solitaire and pulling matching tiles off a board, you are playing SHANGHAI that is played with MAHJONG tiles, but ISN'T mahjong.
Did NOBODY read jiji's post? Jesus.
PS: There are like a million ways to spell it (mahjong, majong, mahjongg)
