I really liked The First Jak and Daxter for some reason. It just was really fun for me. Needless to say I wasn't too impressed with the second game because they added so many things into it. Second would be Mario Sunshine. I actually liked the FLUDD system, unlike everybody else I had fun with it.
I love Sunshine...
But I think I have to give the nod to Maximo. It's just such a wonderfully crafted platformer. In fact, I think it's the first 3D platformer (including Mario 64) where I didn't think how much better it would've been in 2D.
Sly Cooper is also really good, but I haven't really been able to get into Klonoa, and the demo of Rachet and Clank did nothing for me.
Is R&C and Sly Cooper really that good? I'll have to check them out if they are.
And if Viewtiful Joe was a platformer, I'd rank it #1. However, I don't consider it one.
Sly Cooper is awesome, though like I said I wasn't impressed with R&C in the slightest.
For $20 I can't see how somebody who likes 3D platformers would be dissapointed.
I feel the same way ;_;Originally Posted by Yoman0chaos
And yeah, Sly Cooper is that good. But you'll 100% it in like 8 hours or less, so keep that in mind. I paid $10.00 for it.

Sly Cooper slightly edges out Mario Sunshine as tops this gen. It is very, very close though.
I dunno VJ is a 2D'ish platformer/action title for me so I would include it.
Whatever though.
