What drivel? You think your economy works for you, well, mine works better.
Stone is firmly in the I have it good, fuck the rest camp it seems.
Come on dude, at least try to make a few REAL arguments instead of the drivel ya just spouted.

Even Bill O'Reilly? But he says he's not a conservative!Originally Posted by Stone

Ah come on Diffusion, don't sink to that level:P Marines! Hoorah!!!Originally Posted by diffusionx
Anyway the current direction of the argument is getting completely ridiculous. I like living in the US but I don't go around saying that it's the best country to live in in the entire world, that's different for everyone. The culture isn't the best here, but where is it the best? I've considered living in the border-line 3rd world country of Trinidad and may very well find myself there to live someday, does the fact that it doesn't have the best health-care and benefits make it a less of a country then the US or Belgium? I don't think so. It seems that a lot of people in the higher-class countries are too pampered, that's all good but keep in mind what you're saying.
Marines > Air Force > National Guard > Navy.
Even though my dad was in the AF, I still like Marines more. Way cooler.

To the best of my knowledge the Marine Corps does not offer such a program. If they did I would have to put some serious thought into it.
Oh and I agree with much of what Stone said. And no Almaci, his arguments were no more "drivel" than yours. If you're calling what he says drivel well then what you are saying is like... super drivel. And no Id rather not have the government providing all that stuff, govt spending is bad spending and financial crises in Europe are inevitable look at what I said about Germany.
It's all good Diffusion, the Marines isn't for everyone and financial benefits can be a good determining factor, though I'd make sure you're gonna get what they say cause a lot of recruiters don't lie, but don't always tell the truth if you know what I mean:P Just curious, what job are you looking at to perform in the Army? And are you looking at a career or just a 2-4 year term of enlistment?
Yea I totally know what you mean. Im keeping an eye out for that shit no doubt. I dont wanna fall into the old bait & switch. They have the details of the College Loan Repayment on the goarmy website though, so its not like something people won't know about when they go talk to the recruiter.Originally Posted by Gohron
As for career... I haven't decided yet and I have not performed sufficient research. And Im looking at four year enlistment because I wanna eventually go to grad school and maybe work for the CIA, but you never know what can happen in the future.
I dont think its a good idea to join the armed forces. If you got nothing else going for you in your life I guess its cool.
It's a good thing then that your ideas don't run my life. I wanna serve my country. That's all there is to it. I've wanted to do it since I was 18 but my parents urged me to go to college.Originally Posted by DOVESKI
