Dunno. Why does France need underground digging machines? I don't know what the intent is but absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Works both ways but you can't go starting wars based on that. Just like you can't say Iraq wasn't doing anything wrong. The mass graves are enough to justify action in some form. In hindsight, which is always 20/20, the course of action appears to be nothing more than the wrong course. The adminstration says it's better to be fighting terrorisits in Iraq rather than on US soil but that statement comes off like they're simply looking at the silver lining. And even the silver lining is tarnished - We've only added fuel to terrorist fire.

lol Stone... I think anyone who has been in college can testify to the amount of foreign-educated people there are who have very good jobs in this country. A very substantial portion of my professors got their degrees outside of the USA.

Be ashamed then! Canada's treatment of its immigrant workforce is pathetic - you've basically described what happens to most immigrants except a very lucky few. Next time you take a taxi or shop at a convenience store, try asking what degrees the driver/cashier has - you may be surprised.

Just after I finished high school, I got a lousy job working at a second-hand store. Two of my fellow workers had been succesful journalists in Serbia (with good educations), one had an MBA from Pakistan, and two had been high school teachers in the Philippines. I'm pretty sure I was earning more money than them, and I was a skinny 18-year-old who just barely got his HS diploma.


Stone - sorry for being upset regarding the immigration thing! You're totally right about the EU illegal immigration problem - it's severly broken. I'm sure it'll be fixed before anything really serious happens, though.
