Thread: Final Fantasy XII Official Thread

  1. Close. If you want to know how much: one more area and then a seperate arena for the final battles.

  2. So how do you get to those secluded areas in the Mosphorian Highwaste? I understand the whole topple the boulder part by the gate crystal but you can't reach it. I detest mindless exploring at this point and I hear tell that an esper is somewhere in this region but the faqs I've found are useless.

I didn't buy it. I just flipped through it while at work.

    I regret having done that.

You go to a shrine and activate them after you did that whole moogle thing in the Salikawood where you had to find them all. That will lift those pieces of land or whatever and you can walk on them and go further/higher in the map. You'll need to give that Chocobo outside a gyashal green and ride it to advance after that. You keep on doing that back and forth with different shrines and you'll eventually be able to push the boulder over, and activate more that leads you to the esper. Sorry that the explanation is kind of bad, but that's all I can do with limited memory.

That's what makes me stop playing these type of games. As soon as I'm worried about getting every little thing and realize how much work it's going to take, I lose interest. Maybe if FFXII blows my pants of by the time I'm done, I'll revisit and try to see all the sites (like SoTN, one of the few games I've replayed and researched to "100%").

One thing that dissuades the possibility of another run through is how similar all the characters are, ultimately. I'd have more fun if I could "re-spec" them...I can pretty much do that now by just changing everyone's gear...there's no real permanent customization, so everyone feels replaceable.

Blah, it's taking too long to figure out the order in which to do all of this. I need to find a FAQ with direct instructions. I'm too impatient for puzzles like this.

Activate the Shrine of the South Wind. Exit out to where the chocobo is hanging out, hitch a ride then head south into the area called Empyrean Way. There should be a new area accessible, take that route and go past the chocobo trail into Skyreach Ridge. Now you have access to the boulder, head into town and topple that. Now activate the Shrine of the Northwest Wind and the Shrine of the West Wind. Head back out to Skyreach Ridge and the path to the Esper should now be open.

Ugh, thanks. I never remember to use the damn Chocobos for their stupid bird-only-access paths. Drives me insane.

  9. Has anyone done the hunt Vorpal Bunny? That shit is pissing me off and gamefaq does not yield any results.

its beyond the second set of gates that that tear thing allows you to go through, its on the south of the feywood, you just keep running around and it pops out, but its really fast so youll find yourself running around a lot and killing links. Its south, past the magical gates
