    I'm not counting on that.

p.s. I one-shot that boss. You are cycling (R2) the Quickenings if nothing comes up, right?

  2. There is too much of a need for gil farming than leveling. I did about an hour+ and got all the aoe spells and best weapons in the port. Now I have to do that again for the best gear. I needed 210k, and I have earned 95k so far. Thief Cuffs + all grimoires have helped a lot, as did two 75 zombie chains in the shrine.
You just said it yourself, though; you're buying the best gear.

  3. You don't need the best gear to advance, which is what I like, for once in an RPG you don't end up with billions of moneys at the end of the game because there's never reason to spend it, but on the other side if you pick what you need you can still easilly advance through the game. I really like how they did that, the people whining about it are just too anally retentive about gear lol.

Also, Ensanguine shield is amazing, 95 Evade shield. It helped me rape Gilgamesh since he never hit Ashe with Lure on. The downside is Slow: Sap: Poison. BUt it's completely worth it against physical enemies.

Yeah, I just hold down R2 if there isn't anything up, and turbo mash triangle square and X. I was just getting fucked on randomness of it. For 4 mist tries I ended up with a 1, two 3's, and a 4 chain. It was bullshit.

Self: MP isn't for a long time?
So, I'm gonna' have to keep using charge in the menu? Ghey.
    Boo, Hiss.

Learn the timing, pressing R2 right when it finishes cycling. If you hold down R2 there's a good chance any available selections will scroll past in the tiny, tiny window of opportunity even if you're mashing. Eventually it will go too fast for Mist Charge or cycling to even do anything (past 8 or so), but you should be getting chains of around 6~8 fairly consistently. How many characters have Quickenings and how many?

Once you get strong enough they eventually take a backseat and are useful only in limited circumstances (when I'm dealing 9999 per hit it makes 20k at the cost of all my MP not so impressive) but they're fantastic for a long time.

    I don't deny it.

Everyone has at least one, and three have two. The usual chain I get is in the 6-8 range. Like I said, I was just getting fucked on the cycles. I haven't had any problems holding down R2 for the chains, they just weren't coming up...

I can probably mash buttons a lot faster than most people from playing death metal and grind guitar for so long.
    Boo, Hiss.

I find them rather useless now, unless I'm in a situation when a foe is doing a lot of consistent status effect spells or is simply too quick. Quickenings are a great way to knock down the last of a life bar without having to take a hit or worry about constant Esuna/Dispel on your allies.

YEah not saying it's a bad thing, it's just a simple truth, I use to be that way too, but somehow I'm not for this game lol.

  10. If it doesn't give me at least a +10, I don't even bother. Unless it's a cool status effect, ie: Golden Amulet ftw.
