that took way too much time.
I spent more hours dying over and over because of this than I did actually playing the game up until that point.

You know, once I've finished leveling in an area, I usually just "flee" the whole rest of the way through the area. Heh. Sure I get hit a bit, but it's never so much that I can't take it.

I did it with this area and I was fine. You run faster than any of the mobs when you're fleeing, and they lose interest after a while.

I fought them and got killed teh fuck out. Bad move.

I thought the escape to get to the airship after fighting Ghis was annoying, trying to get to Raithwall's tomb is a bitch

  4. I found an AMAZING way to get money in this game. Spend 30 minutes in the Lhusu mines and you can easily get a few grand of gil. Just stick to the paths with skeletons ONLY (escape from anyone else, really). Set your main guy to Steal, and let the other guys build up absurd 99 chains just walking through the skeleton areas. You'll get a shitload of their bones they droop as loot, which at such high numbers will earn you lots of money. The easy LP isn't bad either.

If you're not at a great level to do this, do it when you have Larsa as a guest. His infinite supply of high potions should keep you healthy.

nice. i've been fighting those Alraune's in the Westersands and stealing Succulent Fruits from them (they also drop 'em) and they sell for about 365 a piece, which is not bad, but i'm about to head to Lhusu right now and try this out. i'm just got the Dawn Shard and need new weapons and armor.
    thanks.

  6. Somebody else apparently did the Lhusu mines thing on another forum (spent several hours) and got 400-500k gil, bought all the Grimoires and now says money is a non-issue in the game. If you don't know about them, they become available at the bazaar after certain events are triggered (talking to merchants 15 times, etc) and can be purchased for ~22k gil each. What they do is increase the drop rate of items (and drop rate of rares?) by a certain type of monster. I got the hunters grimoire and holy shit do you earn up the money spent on it pretty quickly. You can get absurd amounts of loot if you're in an area with a high number of monsters of the type you have a grimoire for (avion/beast is what I have). If you can spare the gil for them, definitely pick up the good ones.

  7. yeah i have about four grimoires available. definitely buying them when i get the chance.

  8. Holy damn, how much are these bones worth?

I mean, I'd imagine if you could get those little oil rig dudes to drop those fins more consistently (by heavily chaining them)... Those are worth 500 a piece, I think. Guess the skeletons work better.

Very much BTN. The second bridge (the one with the single side path) is the best... respawn rate is high enough and long lasting enough that you can hit 90 chain without zoning.

This is exactly why I've been sitting right after the Dreadnaught for the past 2 days. It is WAY easier with Larsa, but doable. You just have to be careful not to wander your way into more pops while fighting.

Skellies give 90-120 xp and each bone fragment sells for ~100 gil each. Fragments will be mostly what you get off steals as well. I have team 1 (vann-balthier-penelo) at 16, and team 2 at 15, so I'll probably move on when they hit 16, as that should give me enough bank to afford Poach and Souleater, which the last two things I need that Bhujerba after Ghis offers.

    Highly recommend doing this.

  10. bone frangments are worth around 190 gil.
