The second installment just murders the first one, which is saying something, as that game is still a blast to play. It did so many new things, and improved so much. They should have just ended the series right there, on the highest note possible.

I didn't get to play Sam Sho 2 until a few years ago. We had an MVS arcade machine with Sam Sho 1, but it got taken out (after the were done with World Heroes 2 and KOF 95).

If it was Samurai Shodown 3 diffusionx, you would of been dead on. Yeah it's still pretty bad though, not as bad as the Morrigan sprite or KOF, but bad enough. Enough of the thread hijacking....

Whatever you do kids, don't play the PC-CD Rom version of SS2 that was released here by Interplay unless you're really desperate. It's very ugly, a little choppy and seems to be missing some frames. The only plus side is that the music is the AST version. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Seriously, I ask myself that occasionally. His design was great. Hopefully he'll make an appearance sometime later (yeah right). SNK has a tendancy to do that with good character designs. We see stupid characters like Chang all the time, yet somebody cool like Niehalt Sieger only gets to appear in one freaking game. It's ridiculous...
