Stuart Little 2, XXX, The Hulk, Men In Black II, and the new Adam Sandler movie.Originally posted by Klonoa
I want to know what trailers are playing with Spiderman.
MIB II looks damn funny. I loved the first one.

First I'lll post my impressions, then I'll read the thread ^_^
Spiderman was SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.
Two hours was enough to pack in:
- how he became Spiderman physically and emotionally
- backstory on a bunch of characters
- a full movie storyline
The movie was chock full of over-the-top comic book action (rediculously big jumps and aerobatics, movement, and all that other good stuff), had a great romance storyline, and just kicked ass in general.
If I must compare it to a similar movie, I'd pick X-Men. Let's just say Spiderman destroys X-Men in every single way. There is at least ten times more action in Spiderman than there was in X-Men.
Go see Spiderman !!!!!

You should have replied "Damn men skippin' work to go see Spiderman."Originally posted by Ichabod
Also: as I was leaving the theater, some guy said "Damn kids skippin' school to go see Spider-Man". How perceptive of him.
Cause you know he was.

Something I didn't catch, but my friend said he did. When JJ is going through some photos, he says something like, "Damnit Eddie, this is crap". Which would be refering to Eddie Brock, aka Venom. I caught the Curt Connors aka The Lizard reference. Anyone else hear Eddie's name mentioned? Another thing, when Peter is trying to make the webbing work, he yells "Shazam!", which is a reference to the DC hero, Cpt. Marvel. I thought that was really cool.
i just saw spiderman last night. i thought it was pretty good. it wasn't as mind blowing as i hoped, but still worth the wait in line and price of admission.
things i like were...
tobey maguire - i was extremely impressed with his performance as peter parker. he pulled that one off very well. if i may be bold, i'd have to say he was the best part of the movie.
adaptation - this is one of the best comic book adaptions. some things were inaccurate, but all in all, it was pretty close.
jj - man, this guy was hilarious. he's exactly how i would imagine a real jj to act.
things i didn't like...
the way the movie was done, it felt more like a long tv show than a movie.
the cg was done well, but i really wished that there were more human stunts. it would have been more impressive to know that some guy is actually doing all that stuff.
i thought there should have been more gymnastics/acrobatic moves. where were the flares, splits, etc. there were a lot of flips and stuff, but like i said earlier, it wasn't impressive because it wasn't done by a person.
the movie felt a bit disjointed. some parts felt very comicky (fights, daily bugle), which was really cool. then when it switches to scenes with mj, aunt may, and/or harry, it felt like a different movie.
sounds like i didn't like it, but i enjoyed it a lot.
