From what I've read NBC already had the rights to Satisfaction. It would however cost them to reair the skit or to air it on the internet, which is why it isn't up on NBC's site.

Tricksy.
Best guess is that Conan knows his future bosses are watching, whether it's at Fox and their affiliates or some other network. If he absolutely cuts loose and makes it ugly, it's bad PR, especially for trying to convince Fox affiliates who are already against or lukewarm on the idea of giving up syndication/rerun deals for an 11 PM Conan show.
Fuck that, bring on the lunacy.
*Edit - Dressing a Bugatti Veyron as a mouse played to Satisfaction was kind of funny in its own right. Last night's was sort of ruined by a snuggie joke. Then again I guess it plays into how excessively stupid they are. My Alzheimer's addled grandfather has one, he looks insane in it.

They also don't cover your fucking feet.
Nah I didn't find it funny in itself. I found the absurd and needless amount of money Conan spending the sticking point.

This one has Star Trek on it! Haw haw! *spends $20*
*edit - Actually a Snuggie for a white elephant is *so* not funny and *so* not original, that it's almost perfect.
