That was just him being not wrong about this.
I've always hated Bill Maher. His overgrown nose makes me want to punch him in the face. The fact that the majority, if not then all, of his opinions are wrong doesn't help his case either.
also, FUCK NBC/LENO. I've avoided NBC like the plague since this shit went down, except for bits and pieces of the Olympics.
Sounds like somebody's a catholic.
Ironplant is right. His business is a popularity game. If his stock has dropped significantly because of all of this hullabaloo then it might just be "business" when he's replaced by someone else. Luckily for Leno popular or not NBC won't be touching this shit for years now. The problem with Facebook and Twitter is the argument that you can't make money on it. Because people posting shit on Facebook is instant. They don't have to wait until 11:35 to get a joke. If that argument holds true then the young generation just proved themselves unbankable. So it doesn't really matter how many twitter followers Conan has, because they won't tune in to him when it really matters.
But then again. Conan being popular now does not in any way mean Leno is unpopular. Maybe Conan just got an audience out of this.
For Leno it came down to business or morals (to ride off into the sunset or to stay and bump his competition) and he chose bidness. I don't blame him for that. NBC is more to blame for putting everyone in this situation to begin with. They should have just let Conan go to Fox.
