I tried Jack in the Box last year when I was in LA.
The burgers were really... mediocre. Could barely finish one.
McDonalds burgers SUCK, but they're small. Like candy.
Never really got that impression, but it's the same with In & Out. The burgers there are pretty poor except for the buns but so many people swear by them.Everybody on the west coast seems to like them. What gives?

Uh no. In & Out's burgers are easily the best fast food burger ever. Especially Animal Style.Originally Posted by rezo

Fast food... Licks burgers aren't really "fast food", since they actually cook 'em after you order them. Have to wait a few minutes.
The fast food places exclusive to (or at least centralized in) Texas are decidedly pretty mediocre, though they're fucking light years ahead of McDonald's.*
We have Dairy Queen, which makes an OK burger but nothing to write home about. Their chicken-fried steak sandwich is better.
Whataburger is another unremarkable burger joint (tasty, just unremarkable) except for one thing: they're open 24/7. They're the only food place around here that does that.
But if we're talking about non-fast food burgers as well, Fuddrucker's makes some mighty fine burgers. I've never been dissatisfied after eating there (except the one time they gave me a burger that was one step above raw when I ordered medium well...).
* Or so says the guy that eats gizzards, testicles, brains, and stomach-lining soup, anyway...
We used to have Jack in the Box here in Lubbock, but several years ago a bunch of people got food poisoning at one of them. So we don't have them anymore.Originally Posted by Master

See? Get that all the time. Crazy West Coasters. I laugh at you from the east.Uh no. In & Out's burgers are easily the best fast food burger ever.
I pretty much only go to Burger Town USA.
jack in the box is hit or miss, their sourdough jack is pretty good. (keep in mind anything i write is always without mayo...yuck)
McDonalds is the death of america
cynical is right about fuddruckers - good burger place, next time i go there i need to order mine meduim rare or medium well (never knew there was a such a thing), b/c I usually just get well done but i hear the medium rare is better (i know its better for steak). Whataburger is only around these days b/c it is 24/7, go around one past midnight and you'll see the drive through is packed. Sonic is eh, alright but they have the worst commercials ever.

Hah.. The "Good Place to Sit and Eat," is Denny's. Just thought I'd mention it since I sadly find myself at Denny's too frequently.
Heck.. I might go right now and it's 4:40 am.
Ad campaigns are fucking balls no matter how you slice it... well Jack in the Box has had a good one for some time now. So does Microsoft Office (at least the ones they show durning Football games) but that's not food so it doesn't count.
Fuddruckers is "the bomb diggity."
Oh.. and about the waitresses on skates.
The carhops are perhaps the single most annoying way to deliver terrible food. I despise Sonic. I'll eat McDonalds before that =((((
Jalepenios aren't on everything but every resturant has them as an option. You can usually tell what will or will not have them and you can tell them to not put it on. It's not like Canada where they sneak Mayo onto everything (which might well define my personal hell).
o_O
I have a thing for chicken and mcdonald's won me over thanks to their dollar specials. I don't care to order anything else because some idiot is always forgetting to leave the onions off.![]()
