Thread: Massive ROTK spoilage

  1. Maybe as a grand scale battle, but it was just too much people running, swords clashing, and not enough personal swordfighting like it was done in Fellowship. I am not saying that Two Towers was a bad film, but it wasnt as good as first one.

  2. Here's a heavily spoiler-ridden review that has a few points I forgot to mention-

One thing mentioned here that I forgot was that apparently Arwen's health is tied to the ring. She gets sicker as the movie goes on. Weird.

  3. Friend of mine who's a LOTR psycho says he is 100% positive that the Mouth of Sauron is in ROTK. Maybe regulated to the extended DVD, perhaps, but he's seen screenshots of him, so he's been filmed.

There's an advance screening tomorrow in L.A., with Viggo Mortensen giving a talk after. The reserve list is full, but my friend is going.

That thing with her & the Ring is really strange. I know PJ was going to play up her & Aragorn, but oh well......I also remember that Arwen was originally going to be at Helm's Deep when the other Elves showed up, but fans got so pissed that PJ digitally removed her.

Betcha a million bucks she shows up @ Minas Tirith to deliver Anduril to Aragorn.

  4. Oh, no. Elrond delivers the reforged sword to Aragorn. Remember in the trailer? Elrond- "Become who you were born to be". Arwen was not digitally removed, they just didn't use the footage of her. The Mouth of Sauron is in the ROTK game, I think there's footage in the game and he resembles Sauron from the FOTR prologue.

She was digitally removed from the scene where Legolas was pulling up Gimli and Aragon on the rope. Look close and you'll see Legolas look back at the spot where she originally was. They talk about that in one of the commentaries.

  6. I watched two of them, guess I didn't watch that one.

  7. im kind of dissapointed with Jackson's representation of Sauron. in the books, he's described a few times, very menacing and dreaful and all that. Gollum says that he at least has a hand, on which is only four fingers.

Yup. it made the Gondor-Rohan relations much better. not quiet as big as Aragorn reuniting the North and South Kingdoms, though.
