Wal-Mart does all kinds of shit, they're really nasty. They are attempting to force (and will likely succeed) RFIDs on all products sold in Wal-Marts by 2006. That's a huge loss for, well, everyone but Wal-Mart. They forced barcodes in the same way in the eighties.

That's nothing. When I worked at the Naval Exchange people would trample people all the time to get whatever deal we were having at the time. I remember when we had these $15 mini-tv's that old people wanted for some reason and it was chaos. Old men stealing them right out of little old ladies' shopping carts, people fighting and pushing. I was shocked, but amused.
