Well, Of course I know that. And as I expressed I hope that battles are staged and filmed better than it was in Two Towers.Originally Posted by Megatron
I just read somewhere that New Line want the rights to the Hobbit. But the son of Tolkien wont give it up. Plus Peter Jackson even want to do it after he does King Kong. DAMN YOU CHRISTOPHER TOLKIEN! DAMN YOU!

i'm looking forward to it - to say the fucking least, these films have been pretty special to me. Its going to be a little melancholy next christmas when there's none to look forward too, but i'll probably just watch all 3 of my extended dvd editions at home in its stead.
The word so far is ROTK, even at around 3 and a half hours, feels the least complete amongst the three. Going from Pellanor to the Black Gate, for example feels rushed some folks have said. The losing of Saruman from the theatrical cut alone will definetly make the ROTK extended edition the most important of the three.

I honestly dont know why people keep talking about the loss of Saruman. Peter Jackson's explanation is perfectly reasonable. He's a filmmaker first and foremost, and from what I understand (never read the books), he made some very liberal changes to the movies, but can any big LOTR buffs say that he has not been able to capture the mood, spirit, and feel of the books? Doubtful.Originally Posted by Green
It's impossible to cover a massive, overly wordy tome like LOTR into a movie. Changes have been made. In all the PJ interviews Ive read he is very confident of all decisions he has made. Surely a good sign.
