This isn't even a fighting game.Best Fighting Game—WWE Smackdown! Here Comes the Pain

What I would love to know is how did Tony Hawk's Underground win best sports game while Madden won best game?
So what they are saying is that Tony Hawk (not even really a sports game) is a better sports game than Madden, but Madden is a better video game than Tony Hawk? That doesn't make any sense at all!
If Madden is a sports game (it is), and Madden is the best video game made this year (according to them, it is), then logic follows that it has to be the best sports game made this year. But according to Spike, it isn't.....
i dunno... it has the typical fighting game chracteristics. you can punch, kick, throw, do special moves, and it also contains stupid storylines for each character. can't forget about the boss character that you fight at Wrestlemania.Originally Posted by Valgar

Did any of you guys go on and vote?
I actually did just for the hell of it...the lot of good it did...![]()
And before you ask --NO, I didnt pick Splinter Cell as the best portable game of the year
I didnt pick any of the choices they had listed as I was filling out the Other box with my own choices. The vote tally'ers (if there even were any) were probably saying " WTF is a Viewtiful Joe?" , and "there actually is a Final Fantasy game out for the Gameboy?" while reading my
votes..
But God -- Splinter Fucking Cell best portable game![]()
i assume they only wanted it so that one game can only win one award. you know. so that nothing's overlooked.Originally Posted by Chibi Nappa

There were good nominees, but the results don't give any indication of that.
I doubt 99% of the people who votec Splinter Cell for handheld of the year played it. That game didn't sell. People just voted for it because it has the name of an Xbox game they like.
SmackDown has fighting game elements in it, but not enough to be categorized as a fighting game. Much like how VF and Tekken have wrestling stuff in them, yet I wouldn't call them wrestling games.
