After hearing this, of course I had to make a nub thread, for comedy purposes at least. Mostly everyone here is from the Gamefan days, right?

I know a lot of people here flooded over from the old GameGo boards when they got shutdown. I'm not sure if that's the same as gamefan (as I was not one of the ones that flooded over).

Ahhhh let's see a bit of a history lesson.
There was a huge group of us that came from the Gamego Forums, the mag being well done, but an illconceived idea with the market at the time. Some of the people there dated back to the former GF days, with ye old java chat room, but most just flooded into the call of uber elitism that was GG. After the GG forums closed there was a mass exodus of lost and jaded souls, most of which eventually made their way to the TNL forums. TNL at the time was a happy place with flowers and birds and nothing but smiling bundles of joy. That happiness was quickly crushed by the ultra levels of hatred and cyniscm brought in by the GG folks. Thus the modern TNL was born.

And such is your history lesson for the day.

Our test will be next Tuesday.
