Pirates was the best. That movie is fuckin relentless and was a milestone in Disney's increasing tolerance levels in movies.

28 Days Later. I expect ROTK to be very good, but not great.

For me the good ones were
Kill Bill
Dogville
I still have to see Last Samurai, Big Fish, ROTK, and Mystic River, which all have a chance of filling in that list. I doubt anything will top Kill Bill for me though, I haven't had that much of a good time in a theatre for years.
Also, Once Upon a Time in Mexico was a little sloppy and took a lot from the previous movies, but still didn't let me down in terms of fun and action.
Other than that I can't think of much from this year. Lost in Translation was a huge disapointment. Pirates of the Carribean was too boring. Anything Else was too much of the same from Woody Allen starring an actor I don't like.
My top five:
1. Lost in Translation
2. Finding Nemo
3. Pirates of the Caribbean
4. Love Actually
5. 28 Days Later
Like everyone else said, I'm sure Return of the King will take top spot in a few weeks. Last Samurai has a chance to get up in there as well.
X2
Kill Bill Vo.1
Terminator 3
Runner up: Hulk
Not in any specific order..
Kill Bill
Last Samurai
Pirates of the Carribean
Finding Nemo
I want to see Love Actually and Bad Santa still.
Lost In Translation.
Look. Other movies simply cannot fuck with a good Bill Murray movie. I'm sorry. That's not even considering everything else that made the movie fantastic.
My top five in no real order:
The Matrix Revolutions
Kill Bill
Lost in Translation
Pirates of the Caribbean
28 Days Later
There still a lot of movies I haven't seen like the Last Samurai or ROTK, which isn't out yet. I'm sure the list will change before the new year.
