Thread: Black Tiger

  1. Black Tiger

I clearly think this is one of capcom's best games of all time. Too bad there has never been a sequel, unless you wish to consider magic sword an update. I'll go as far to say this destroyed castlevania, since it's gameplay is so deep.

  2. Awesome, awesome game. The main reason I have MAME. I love this game to death it's so good. It's a shame it wasn't on any of the Generations CDs (was it?). I would have bought it in an instant.

I remember cutting class in 10th grade and walking what seemed to be clear across town just to play it. Good times.

  3. Looks like capom has this on their "ignore list", so I doubt they'll ever release a copy.

    Thank god for mame.

  4. Actually wasn't this game published by Romstar? Great game either way.

  5. I remember playing it in the arcades in the late 80's. Great game indeed. To me Capcom's best (and my favorite series) is still the Ghouls N' Ghosts games but Black Tiger was a bit similar, down even to the skeletons. I'm still pondering why Capcom doesn't release sequels to GNG and their other great games like Black Tiger and Bionic Commando. Instead they just seem to want to pump out another Mega Man/Resident Evil sequel or spin off every couple months.

  6. OK,the marquees said Romstar, but the game is copyright Capcom 1987.

  7. /Melf imagines a pumped up version of BT for GBA.

  8. The GBA has less pixles, what happened to double dragon will happen here.

  9. It will get ported with more areas, moves, and enemies?

  10. It'll get that (which is good btw), but the downside comes from how large characters will look to retain their detail. If you were to say, compare one of the screens above to what it'll look like, they would have to crop off some of the detail to keep the size ratio or get a more close up view. That's one thing that put me off when DD was ported.
