Thread: Download the entire Metal Arms soundtrack for free

  1. Puyo Download the entire Metal Arms soundtrack for free

Sierra has just put up a page featuring the entire Metal Arms soundtrack in mp3 format all for download, free of charge. The soundtrack "combines industrial rhythms with rushes of electronica, film-like mood pieces and hilarious dialogue from the video game."

    Track listing:

Intro

Metal Arms

Swarmer Attack

Rat Race

Droid Town

Mil Attack

Lost City

Fight to the Death

Hold Your Ground

Meeting of the Minds

Night Vision

Final Battle

Recycle

The soundtrack is just one minute shy of the half-hour mark and is approximately 53 MB in size.

  2. Download the music--then go out and buy the game! Metal Arms rules, TNL's forum members agree:

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System--holiday sleeper!

The soundtrack's pretty good too. A light techno-rock fusion theme befitting robot combat runs throughout all 13 selections. A couple tracks sound a bit like C&C Music Factory outtakes.

  3. I giggle every time I hear the "You are...a robot" and "Dessstrrrroyyyyy" samples.

And yes, the game is fantastique.

  4. I wish more companies did this. I love video game music, but buying the soundtracks imported are expensive. There doesn't seem to be a large market in the states selling them, so they migt as well give them out for free. They might have just sold another copy of the game to me.

I haven't heard this yet, it's downloading, but what bit rate are they at?

  5. Sierra should win some kind of award for this. Not that the music is especially mind-blowing, but it's pretty damn cool when a company not only publishes a great title, but then throws the fans a really nice freebie.

    Again: buy this game.
    "Fiends! Animals! Bastards!"

  6. Dang, I just realized the OST's by Keith Arem - I've heard of him. I'm pretty sure he's the same K.A. from the L.A.-area industrial band Contagion. Good to see more stuff from him. Nice!

  7. Count me in with the "this is very cool thing for Sierra to do" crowd. Metal Arms has been on my radar for a while now due to some glowing previews/reviews, but with the Christmas rush of games, I've yet to give it a try. These downloads definitely bump it up near the top of my "must play soon" list.

Seriously, what a great way to promote a game (unless of course the soundtrack to said game completely sucks). I wish more companies would do this.

  8. completely awesome. Other devs should take a note from Sierra on this.
