I took it the way Mechdeus intended it.That's how I took it too, hence my response.
And I thought Castlevania 2 was an amazing game when it first came out. I remember I played it quite a bit and when christmas time came around I asked for it. Except instead of asking for it by itself I made a list of games I wanted which included Zelda 2, and something else. Turns out I would only get one game that year and every year after that and I was given Zelda 2. I was terribly dissapointed. Keep in mind that the original Zelda was my all time favorite game then and being dissapointed at only getting the sequel is an idea of how much I liked Castlevania two.
Other stories of my youth include asking for Stinger because I thought it was about flying spaceships that fought with boxing gloves(you'd have to see the cover to know why). It was just a conventional shooter which initially confused me, but it ended up being one of my favorites.
The Japanese rerelease games with a couple extra minutes of footage and an extra enemy at full price as "Special Versions" or "US Version," (re: most recent FFs) they'll take any excuse to rerelease games for extra cash. They're stupid that way, especially those who buy them again for full price.Originally Posted by Grave
