Also, if you're interested to know, Hal Jordan is back as the Spectre. I don't know how someone who purpotrated acts as cosmicly evil as he did gets the possition as the effective wrath of the Christian God (which is what the Spectre is supposed to be), but he did it.

i have a few reasons for not going back to my local comic shop
and its the only one with in like a 45 minute drive of me

And CV, I meant the JLA cartoon, Jon dosen't have any self-doubt in that one, he's very military minded and often takes charge of alot of situations.

Nah, he's still alive in the cartoon. But I used it as an example since he's been gone for so long.

However, in the comics, were Sinestro to come back, he'd still be a force to be reckoned with. He's got years of experience on Kyle, and they'd be an even match for each other. Whatever Kyle can do, Sinestro can do the same thing with yellow energy, plus the years of battle experience he has on Kyle.

I suppose, but I think Nero fills Sinestro's gap quite well. Nero is one crazy mother, and that was made really, really clear in the Ion arc. This is a man who is "enslaved by demons," but the demons that have him enslaved are from his own freaking power ring! He actually makes demons, and then subjects himself to them, all the while not being aware that they are simply constructs of his will.

Personally, I believe Nero is much more dangerous, and fits the bill much better than Sinestro.

I like the fact that if he was to come back, one day, he always has a motive.

Being a former member of the GL Corps, and one of the most distinguished, he hates the Corps almost as much as Hal. If a new Corps were to be formed, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they found a way to bring him back with enhanced powers.
