I have never once had a problem with them. Once we had someone try to steal some funds from VGD's paypal account and the matter was settled quite quickly. Personally I think they're great.
For those of you who have PayPal, how's the service? I keep hearing horror stories about the service (there's never any way to tell if most of these people are complete idiots or not), but lots of people seem to use it without much trouble.
I was just wondering how the service was, since I certainly don't want to get one if I'm going to get ripped off or have to worry about BS...

It's awful, but if you do research and are very careful you can minimise your risks. I ony use it (rarely) because sometimes you simply have to.![]()
Me either, except if your accepting high amount as in 1 thousand dollars expect a large chunk for them..
Used paypal since 1998 (i think) and I have never had a problem with them. Got almost ripped off once from a buyer but luckily i didnt send it out. Person used a stolen credit card and paypal informed me to not send out until it was resolved.
My rule is, if sending a payment via PayPal, item will be sent out within 2-3 business days. Why? within the next day or so, PayPal will find out if the payment is a fraud.
If you know what you're doing, you should have no problem.
I've used Paypal to pay for eBay auctions(Buying not selling) for about 2 years now and have never once had a problem. *knock on wood*![]()
Yeah, I've been a Paypal user since early 2000. Buying and Selling through eBay hasn't been any more simple. So far I haven't had a single problem. As said, you just have to be a little careful as far as sending out any items and checking for frauds. Paypal does a good job (from my own experience) of catching the thieves.

You dont have to add a bank account. Just add a credit card. But having both will make it easier on the seller, as it shows you are a VERIFIED and CONFIRMED user. There have been mentions of paypal users making a cheesy checking account just for PayPal use only. such as only having at least $20 in there (depends on banks rules on minimum you can have in account).Originally Posted by CynicalSphere

You stick with the most basic of functions like Sending and Recieving money and it works.
I've never had a problem with them... and I can't imagine ebaying without it.
