Thread: Batman: The Rise of Sin Tzu

How many hostages do I have to rescue, and how many bombs do I have to defuse?? Jesus.

Since you can buy some cool moves, and I love Batman and beat-em-ups, I can ignore all the negatives, but I totally agree with this scoring a 7 or so.

Tell me about it. It's a pain in my ass. Like I said before, if the hostages were there as some kind of bonus point system or something like that, I'd have had no problem with it. But requiring me to rescue them, and then timing me is just ass.

And that whole "invisable wall" thing pisses me off, too. My game ended because I couldn't free a hostage right beyond one of these walls. I had about 14 seconds to kill four thugs with Robin, and if you've played with Robin, you know that ain't happening. So, I stood, helpless, and watched the hostage kick and scream just out of reach, and then I died. Blech!

I would probably score this at an 8. Though I'll agree that 7 is a fair score as well.

    Told you I wasn't kidding.

I just find it unfortunate that unlocking all that crap with the coins is pointless...
Well, it's cool if you like that kind of thing. I like that kind of thing.

What I can't figure on is why there are unlockables of Poison Ivy and the Joker if they aren't even in the game. Am I missing something?

  5. Good reason, I guess. I know the penultimate battle with Sin Tzu takes place at Arkam. Are they making funny faces at Bats as he passes from their cells?

  6. I seem to get the impression that Sin Tzu's only motivation in this game is "I'M GONNA GET YOUSE, BATSMAN!!!"
Please tell me they develop this more, 'cause they were making such a big deal out of "OMFG JIM LEE MDAE THIS BA DGUY FOR OUR GAME HE IS TEH ROX LOL!!!!!11" and I'd hate to be laughing through the ending.

I don't know far you are in yet, but after you beat Clayface, they have a rather long cutscene where Sin Tzu shows up, and they touch on his origin and why he's obsessed with defeating Batman.

  8. Me = Advertising Victim. I just went out and bought Mystery of the Batwoman . . . you know, the new Batman movie as advertised in Rise of Sin Tzu?

I'll get back to you all and tell you what I think of it.

It's pretty good. Keeps you guessing and all that. Glad I picked it up.

I just made it to Bane's levels, so I saw that little appearance by everyone's favorite Asian Warlord that Roufuss was talking about. Sin Tzu, as previously mentioned, is voice acted perfectly. I can't wait for the endgame.
