Thread: What's your favorite Disney animated film?

  1. What's your favorite Disney animated film?

Having a baby daughter, I figure I'm going to eventually end up buying all of them on DVD anyway. I thought I'd watch them again to see which ones we'd most enjoy together. By far, my favorite is Aladdin. The music, animation, everything (Robin Williams!) just rocks. I'm referring to the original, mind you, not those bastard sequels Disney released on video (WTF Disney?).

    I also loved:

    - Lion King
    - Little Mermaid (you heard me)
    - Tarzan
    - Snow White (over 60 years old and the animation is still awesome)
    - Dumbo

I still have way too many left to watch.

  2. Aladdin, with the Lion King being a very close second. Far too many great ones to list though.

  3. Lady and the Fucking Tramp

  4. Alladin, Lion King & Little Mermaid.

  6. Toss up between Aladdin and Emperor's New Groove. The Sword in the Stone would rank up there, too.

Only a matter of time before sequels to those last two get made.

  7. Alladin, Lion King, The Rescuers Down Under, Lilo & Stitch and The Great Mouse Detective.

I would be absolutly amazed if they could pull off a sequal to The Sword and the Stone. Besides, last I heard they shut down the studio that was churning out those sequels.

It also seems that not very many people here are fans of the older ones. Come on, Sword in the Stone, Lady and the Tramp, Robin Hood. What the Hell people?

  9. The Lion King, with Aladdin being a close second

  10. The Great Mouse Detective, Aladdin, and Alice in Wonderland are absolutely top drawer. Nearly rivals Miyazaki, I think.

Robin Hood, Sword in the Stone, Lion King, The Black Cauldron aren't quite as good, but should definitely still be part of the collection.
