    Yup. I'm ridiculously into the game, yet I see no need or even desire for online play. Why? You don't compete against the other player, what they do has no bearing on your game whatsoever. What the other player does bring to the experience is completely lost when they aren't even in the same room. Online ddr is just a stupid idea.

    Competing for score is great. But taking a game online solely for that purpose is quite excessive. Outlets like the score attack forum are good proof it's not necessary. Playing DDR online promotes a very minor aspect of the game and demotes the most important aspects of the game.
