You should read what was posted. He said Earthworm Jim 2, when in fact he meant to say EWJ special edition. I'd also like to point out that most Sega CD games had Red book audio.

Funny how 10 of the 19 games you mentioned are on other systems though. I think the reason everyone mentions Sunshine and Metriod (Nintendo games) is because no one bought the GC for the 3rd party games.

I'm pointing it out, because there is more to the Gamecube than just first party games, as some seem to think that is all that the GC has to offer. For a person that can only afford one system and a few games, this could be thier system of the year. It's not mine, but I would'nt get roude of my GC for another console either.

I voted for the GBA BTW.

  4. The Sonic Mega Collection is reason enough for the GC to be my system of the year. Such a fantastic compilation of classics.

  5. I have a PS2 for the core releases, and a GC for the exclusives. The X-Box is a good system, I just am not really interested in many of its exclusive titles, so at its current price, I don't want one. The only games I've been really interested in are Panzer Dragoon Orta, Knights of the Old Republic, and Crimson Skies. Everything else to me looks like same-old-same-old-PC-esque-poser-nerd-bulsh.

    But that's just me.
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.

I think my sarcasm detector just broke... I can't figure this one out.

  7. A collection of some of my favorite games ever, on one disc, with a full-screen, smooth version of the Sonic CD intro and ending. Good enough explanation?

The few, the proud, the correct: PC.

Soundwave was responding to SL1p's post:

I stink like someone who bought a Gamecube and realized it was the worst thing I bought since the Sega CD, which I hold in higher esteem since Ground Zero Texas to this day is still a great comedy.

Soundwave was comparing them, not me. My post was about how I think the Sega CD is a better system than people give it credit for. The fact that I own 4 times as many games for it has something to do with the Sega CD being almost 10 years older than the GC and that most of it's games can be had very cheap on ebay. That's why I play it more. Cheaper games = more games = more playtime. It had nothing to do with which system is better...but we're arguing semantics....

..and the difference is? I was referring to EJSE. So were the both of you.

I tried to put everything into one complete post, but the new format does'nt attach to consecutive posts into one post. I'll have to pick up on how that is accomplished.

Sorry, if I assumed you were in agreeance with Soundwave that the Sega CD was a better system. I highly enjoyed my Sega CD, but I'd have to say that the Gamecube has provided a better playing experience for me.

He was referring to EWJSE, but he did'nt say that. I completely forgot that the only EWJ on the Sega CD was EWJSE. It's been 10 years since I played the system, or rented EWJ for it. I sold my Sega CD about 10 years ago with titles like Snatcher , Lunar, Vay, Prize Fighter, F-14 Tomcat, Dark Wizard, Thunder Hawk, Soul..(?), Dragon's Lair, Cobra Command, Sewer Shark and Sonic CD. I wish I still had the system, but have picked up a few titles on the cheap, with hopes of buying a CDX or another Sega Cd in the near future.
