yeah, but your post presupposes that people come in with well defined and logical opinions. If a person wants to have a rational debate about the pros and cons of it, then all good, we have had a few very good threads on this topic, but i ask you, read any diffusion x post in any nintendo related thread, now point out the reason and rational debate. Slip is the same way, if you dont have him on ignore already. What is annoying is not debate, debate is good so long as everyone realizes that its a simple, friendly discussion on a computer and after you log off, none of it matters and you play whatever you want, but when it is a nonstop stream of invective, personal shots, and touretts-level profanity, is it serving the community at large?

If you absolutely dislike a system, then stating that once is sufficient, i hate the ps2, i have stated it long ago, and it really dosent require me restating in every thread,so, since i realize it is not conductive to any discussion other than a flame war, so why beat the dead horse? i figure that those who care know, and those who dont care dont need it shoved down their throats 30 times a day. So the point of the comment is not, from what i read, "lets not have discussion", but rather "Lets keep it civil, or at least funny, and we can benefit from it".

I was torn between X-BOX and GC.

On the one hand, X-BOX put out OTOGI, Crimson Skies, SW: KOTOR, and Armed & Dangerous. I love all of these games like I would a close relative.

But, on the other hand, GC put out LoZ: Wind Waker and Viewtiful Joe which both instantly became two of my favorite games.

Then you have to take into account the multi-platform games like Prince of Persia or XIII.

Ah well, I picked the X-BOX in the end, simply because of OTOGI. Gawd, I love that game. OTOGI 2 better ship to the US or I'll be the worst thing to hit Tokyo since God-fucking-zilla.

I can't see how anyone can hate the 3 current consoles on the market and I'm not including the GBA in this statement. There is just no way, that you can't find at least 3 or 4 games on any of the consoles, that you could at least consider fun. This BS about all the games suck on console X, is about the lamest shit anyone can possibly say about a console. I have yet to meet a person, who can honestly say that they have played every game made for such and such console. The only way that would be possible, was if you were talking about a Virtual Boy, Atari 5200, Atari Jaguar, or a Vectrex.

That is shitty logic. Yes, every system has good games. But does every system have good games that make it worth spending the money on the enabler (the console) to play those games? If the system does not have these games, then it sucks.

I want Animal Crossing and Metroid Prime for GameCube, but its not worth spending $100 for Animal Crossing and Metroid Prime. And if you're gonna say, "oh its only $100! What's the big deal?", then I dont want to hear it. One hundred dollars to me isnt the same as one hundred dollars to you, and not all of us want millions of nerdy consoles in our life.

So the GameCube sucks. End of story.

This reminds me of the Genesis vs. SNES days where the kids that were too poor to own both just had to hate on the one they didnt own as if to make themselves feel better for not having the cash.

JMET, I guess "too poor" is synonymous with:

01. Going to college
02. Because of college, a tight budget is in place
02. Not wanting a million shitty game consoles to nerd up his place of residence.
03. More content spending the money that does exist on booze, going out, and girls than faggy Nintendo games.

Look, I dont know why you're so personally offended by the fact that I dont like the GameCube or the GBA or Nintendo games, and why you're so offended it makes you attempt crappy humor in threads that are not even related to videogames, but it's pretty fucking hilarious. Get over it, chief.
