  2. There is this one thats been around for a while..

These guys will drive around in un-marked vans and stop people at random, and offer then a "great deal" They have these "really high-end" speakers that they were given an extra set off by mistake, and will let you have them for really cheap since no-one will know.

They will often even have a classified ad selling the same speakers for like thousands of dollars, and they will let you have it for a few hundred.

Well, the box looks pretty, but the speakers are major pieces of crap. Worth $50 tops. The ad selling them for thousands? they placed it themseleves

They have updated it now, selling a "Home-theather package" my uncle got suckered into it for $200, when its worth about $50 tops, it doesnt even have a dolby digital decoder, just a 6 channel input.

  6. Wildkat - you're in CT, right? I think that's really just a New England thing. I had people pull up with that stuff all of the time. You know when you see those things on the telephone poles? "Work from home! Earn blah blah blah!" That's the stuff they have you do. You buy those crappy stereos for cheap and then give people a line, confuse them, and then they pay an absurd amount of money for them.

    Assembling things at your house
    Stuffing envelopes at home
War in Iraq (ooh, time to catch some flak!)

    Hehe. Let it begin!!!

One of my friends got caught up in a make-a-bead-necklace pyramid scam. What a fucking idiot. He had to make like a billion of the fucking things.
