Battle Gear 3

I've got Battle Gear 3, and here's my $0.50 on it:

The game's menus are a bit "Gaijin Protected", but it's easy to figure them out with some trial and error. You use an ID/password combo from the arcade version's NESYS key to unlock the Battle Gear mode and the online play.

Logitech's Wingman Formula Force GP rocks with it.

Regrettably, I've not tried the online mode (no broadband adapter yet)- just the Quick Race and Battle Gear main modes (using the ID/Pass from NCSX's site, since my copy is the Asian version). Taito has set up NESYS servers for different territories and if I've heard correctly, the game needs a JPN BB unit and JPN navigator software. If I can get online, I'll buy an LE version or probably look for someone to sell me a NESYS key- no BG3 cabinets have turned up in my area (OH) that I know of, but hopefully this will change.

I've beaten the C Class Challenge perfectly, but have been losing on D-5 again and again- I first used the Toyota Vitz which IMO is a joke and later switched to the Mazda Demio Sport. The Demio still has gotten smoked by the CPU, but with it I've cut down the CPU's margin of victory.

ah...that's wicked...I've got the Midnight Blue Japanese PS2 with the network adaptor and HDD. I'm good to go when mine arrives. When I head aboutthe difference between the Japanese and Asian verison I had todouble check my order. Thank God it was Japanese

I've got BG3 in my area that hooked up to the BG3 North American server It's soo sweet...I love it.
