I've seen the original and it was great. Day of the Dead is even better. Reading the script to the remake made me realize that there are some real possibilities of this movie being a success. I like the different direction it takes, but I'm not so sold on the 'human zombies only eat humans, zombie dogs only eat living dogs' and so forth.

Harry suggests the studio change the title so O.G. Dawn of the Dead purists won't get upset, but I say leave it as it is. It's an intelligent enough script that even Romero loyalists will see that it is themes being explored here, and not an actual remake. From that, they can take it or leave it.

The director is Zack Snyder, who according to IMDB, this is his first movie. And it looks SICK. I'm all about this. The original was pretty bad ass (it get's intense in the last 20 minutes or so when all the super carnage happens) and I think this one is shaping up pretty well judging by the trailer.

Dawn of the Dead is the most overrated horror movie ever. I really found it painful to watch, which is disapointing since I love zombie movies. I'll probably see this one, I'm not too sure about it though.
