Cherie arrives in the future alone, and although she misses Cello, she marries the son of an old man who gave her shelter. Later on, she gives her life to save her daughter Cornet but becomes reincarnated as Cornet's favorite puppet. Unknowingly with her mother's help, Cornet eventually saves and marries the prince. Cornet's daugter Kururu ("little princess") reunites and marries Cherie's old boyfriend Cello, who arrived in the future a bit too late you could say. I might have some of the facts screwed up, but that's mostly accurate.

Rhapsody (#1) covered the middle part of the story and was published in the US. Angel's Present (#3) covered the first part and a short epilogue, and Little Princess (#2) covered the last part, but neither were localized due to lack of interest in Rhapsody.
Sounds like a very interesting series indeed, from your description it sounds like it would be just as good in book form as well.

Thanks for some of the Silent Hill 3 spoilers btw :/
