XAK 3 The Eternal Reccurence

Nightwolve congrats on your Xak translation, I didn't realize that a TNL memeber was behind it. I think Xak 3 is probally one of the finest games the PC Engine has to offer, and it will be nice to play it in English.

Thanks. It turns out, I didn't really know how good it was at first. Sure, the graphics and cinemas are great, but it was the rarity of it having perfect English font support and I was just looking for something to work on. The SNES RPG translation scene owns, and I just wanted to get something going for PCE/DUO. It's the first real CD Action-RPG to get a patch for the system. There're a few hacked hucards however, but they don't impress me much.

Have you played Xak 1+2?

Yeah, I did - just to check if I could hack it. It doesn't support a 1-byte ascii 8x16 font, so a decent translation couldn't fit and it'd appear in an ugly full-width 16x16 font instead. Graphics suck and I wasn't all that impressed with it anyway.

I wasn't talking about your projects, I was just pointing out how hippies were killing RPG's 40 years in advance.

Have any of you guys played Efera and Jiloria? It is a old CD game for the PC Engine with great music and it is similar to Xak, the graphics are a bit dated.
