Why GC is more "powerful" than XBox

I always thought that the Gamecube was a more powerful machine than the X-Box.

That means that I am smart. But nothing can touch the Dreamcast, because it was touched by the Gods of Feet. That system had boots on its feet. That shiznit could run better than anything out there man. It could run through anything.

The X-Box doesn't have any boots on its feet. It's walking around bare foot. It's trying to stunt without any tires. The Gamecube has decent boots, but not as good as the Dreamcasts. The PS2... is the PS2. Yes.

The GameCube may or may not be more powerful than the Xbox. If it is, then that's great for Nintendo, and as soon as there's more than 4 games on the system that I like, then I'll care.

I have a GameCube. It's a beautifully painted and modded one that I bought on release day, when I woke up at 4 in the morning to go get one. I've always loved Nintendo, but the GameCube, especially when compared to the Xbox just fucking sucks. That's why I'll champion the Xbox, a system which I used to completely hate, before I'll give the GameCube any respect at all.

Microsoft gave me almost flawlessly executed online play, a wide variety of very good titles to choose from that don't insult my intelligence the way that Nintendo did with Mario Sunshine (a giant step back from 64), a built in hard drive, and what is, in my opinion, the best controller ever made. Nintendo gave me the Wavebird, which is a great concept, but I, and I'm not alone, find the controller nearly useless on any game not designed around it.

I am, or was, a Nintendo fan, but I'm not about to give them any passes for any of the disappointing and insulting hardware and software decisions that they've made. I don't need to give money or support to a company that tries to tell me what I want (connectivity is completely useless), especially when there's a company out there that's giving me what I know I want. I know M$ is horribly evil and all, but they make a hell of a console.

I took that quote from the site linked, which was a great read. (that was just added bc i think its funny) The way i see it, kb was being insulted for saying that the gcn was more powerful, he completely backed up what he said, in one of the most informative threads/posts i have seen in a bit. That site does it even more definatively. Which system is better can be sent back to the fanboy wars 2001, nobody cares what anyone else thinks. The point of that post was to prove the gamecube is infact more powerful, and as i see, esp. in conjunction with the posted link, QED.
