Thread: Why GC is more "powerful" than XBox

I did, that why I listed prices for a comparable geforce3 chipset AND a motherboard.

plus, having the chipset on the board LOWERS overall cost.

my point is, the components of the xbox dont cost nearly as much as they used too.

My guess is, Microsoft is breaking even on the XBox bundle with 2 games and 2 months of free live @ 179.99.

And yet, it looks the best on Xbox. Hmmmmm.

PS: It looks great, shut it.

I always flick my Wavebird to get the wire out of the way.

Xbox: Splinter Cell ?? (Haven't played anything recent on Xbox since Wolfenstein...)

I think Capcom's art on the Resident Evil games is far away the most amazing thing that any video game has ever dared to approach.
I think you need to play Panzer Dragoon Orta. I feel quite comfortable saying that's the most beautiful game I've ever seen.

The fact that it's a repetitive button masher has nothing to do with the fact that it's an incredibly stylish game with gorgeous visuals. Think Jessica Simpson, except as a robot with a giant erect metal penis.

Yes, Zone of the Enders 2 will probably make every list I ever make that involves good video games because it is a damned masterpiece. And repetitive button masher my ass--the first game was repetitive, but still featured the best 3D combat of its time. ZoE2's combat is even better, with new skills constantly being learned as you progress through the game (and ultimately learning the most badass technique in 3D combat ever--Zero Shift). And not even Jesus could save a button masher playing that game--game is tougher than about 90% of games these days and requires a lot of concentration, especially in later levels.

I'm all about keeping dogs intact. I just think the same revolutionary breakaway technology should have been applied to the end of the cord that goes right into the port. I have yet to hear a single good reason why the cord has to break away in the middle rather than the end.

Preach on, brother. This is exactly why the "breakaway cord" is so retarded--it's completely and utterly useless (not to mention that the breakaway part has tiny, bendable pins that suck balls). The Dreamcast had about the perfect resistence for its controller plugs--I've had siblings and animals trip over the cords numerous times, and the plugs just fly out, system stays where it is.

PlayStation, on the other hand, could definitely use a change (though even if they had wanted to, they stuck with backward compatibility). Years ago, I had cousins trip over my PlayStation cords, bringing the system down on my dad's hard wood floor--sucky. I doubt GameCube cords would pull out, either.

Which brings up another interesting idea...which system is more powerful...physically. The GameCube has a nice, stout design, but I heard that an Xbox once took a .22 bullet and didn't show a mark (true story). I think with that it's obvious that this discussion is over--Xbox is truly more powerful, despite having retarded cords (though I love their length).

Don't take the button mashing thing too hard. You're talking to TNL's biggest Dynasty Warriors fan here. But seriously man, I was beating that sword attack button like Paul Ruebens home alone on a friday night. Yeah, every once in a while I had to pick something up or hold the button down for that charge attack, but that was the exception rather than the rule.
