Thread: Why GC is more "powerful" than XBox

  1. Developers make decisions based on what is easiest given the hardware they have to work with.

Its all about the console architecture, and little to do with "what the developers want". All developers want to put every feature in every game with high frame rates, no clipping, perfect animation with every graphical effect turned on in progressive scan. The hardware and how much of a hassle it is to implement a feature (read: how much time/money will it cost) is what it comes down to.

To do Progressive scan on GC is more of a hassle. Nuff said.

And can people stop saying "power"? The more we keep using that term the less meaning it has.

  2. Cue Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers, video...

explain the tangible progressive support on the PS2 then. there have been component cables for the PS2 for quite a while, but hardly any games support it. take NFL Street for instance - progressive display on the Xbox and Gamecube, but not on the PS2...

They are Super Monkey Balls, respect them!

They were not wild monkeys. They live in an ecopark. The closest thing to say is that they are semi-wild or semi-captive. They do not live in a cage, but they are cared for by humans.

    Xbox rulzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I never seen that video MVS, a few comments:

    01. Holy shit that guy is sweaty.
    02. I bet there's never a line to the woman's bathroom... Ive never seen a sausage party like that.

Umm, no, sorry, but keep trying. The Cube is the easiest of the three to include the Progressive scan option.

And most GC games don't have it, so it's a moot point.

The GameCube is the easiest system to do a lot of things with, but most developers that aren't Nintendo don't bother because it sucks and no one buys any games for it.
