I thought Destiny of the Emperor was awesome.
Personally, I say they're still doing alright, Crimson Sea was slightly above par.Originally Posted by Damian79
The Yagyuu family was quite active during this period, but not particularly famous - Yagyuu Munenori was the guy who really put that clan on the map, and he was still a fairly young man by the time a fair semblance of political stability had been achieved, being born in 1571. But he did participate in the battle of Sekigahara in 1600, and was made sword instructor to the Tokugawa clan, personally teaching both Hidetada and Iemitsu. He was known for his art of Mutodori - the ability to rip an opponent's sword right out of their hands, and take control of their minds (exactly what is meant by this is debatable - I don't know if Mutodori survives to the present day ) which he learned from his father Muneyoshi, founder of the Yagyuu Shinkageryu. So yeah, he's another one you could shoehorn into the game.Originally Posted by JBNagis
The Yoshioka clan for generations were sword instructors to the Ashikaga Shoguns, whose overthrow started the whole Sengoku Jidai period in the first place. The guy you're probably thinking of is Yoshioka Seijiro, whose main claim to fame was getting whupped by Musashi who was armed only with a bokken (wooden practice sword). Various members of his clan swore revenge and were embarrassed by Musashi in turn (a note of qualification - it's entirely possible these stories are somewhat apocryphal, particularly the Musashi-beating-80-guys thing in the Yoshiokas' final act of revenge). Personally, I wouldn't toss them in either this period or this game. I don't know of any Yoshiokas who accomplished anything major in the 16th century.
It was. Totally.Originally Posted by Korly

The game was just released in Hong Kong.
At least six secret characters are in the game. In order to obtain these characters you input their name in Create a Warrior Mode. Don't know how this will work in Samurai Warriors(with the 9 character limit in DW4, none of these name would work).
They are
Imagawa Yoshimoto(I forgot if Imagawa was the surname or not)
Toyotomi Hideyoshi
Tokugawa Ieyasu
Yagyuu Jubei
Mushashi
Kojiro
So do they have their own seperate looks and unique weapons and musous, or are they just like how Fu Xi was in DW?

Um, was Destiny of an emperor made by koei?
And in case you didn't know, Destiny of an emperor 2 has been fan translated:

Also, in Samurai Warriors, it's been confirmed there's alternate costumes for everyone as well.

The surprise is that the alternates are actually really good looking, and are more than just a color swap, unlike most of the costumes in DW 4.Originally Posted by Nomi
