    You have no idea.

    Seriously.

  3. Man, Dean actually is pretty close to Kerry in New Mexico. Stupid New Mexicans.

  4. Sucks to see Joe drop out. I was really hoping to cast a final vote for him now that I'm no longer a CT resident.

Is it pretty much a Kerry-Edwards race now? I guess I'll have to do some more reading on those two. Does anyone think that Joe might go for another VP run now that he's out of the Presidential running? That would be pretty cool, I think.

I realize that nobody remembers the runners-up in primary season, but Im not sure if there's ever been a meltdown quite like Dean's in the past couple decades.
Gary Hart had been the strong front-runner in the 1988 primaries before it was discovered that he had an extra-marrital affair on a yacht. Since then, he went on to predict the 9/11 attacks in front of Congress. He almost ran again this time (even had a website) but wasn't getting enough support.

I'm glad to see Edwards' campaign gaining more support. He has as much charisma as Clinton and would look excellent matched up against Bush Jr in a televised debate.

Worse of all, I can't believe Sharpton will go a little further than he will. That is NOT, NOT a good sign for the future... =\

Edwards gave one hell of a speech, I'll say that. I almost would like to believe him . Then there was Dean, ranting about being the Energizer Bunny and that he'll just keep going and going (he thinks he's campaigning against Rush Limbaugh, too)... Fight the good fight, Dean, yeaaaarggh!

  7. If Joe was offered the VP spot again, I could see it. But I don't see any of the remaining contenders doing so. I don't know if I'd call it a Kerry-Edwards race yet. Depends on if Edwards can get some more states this weekend and in 2 weeks. Kerry is killing everybody right now. It'd be nice is Dean and Clark would jump out now, but Clark will stay in probably until March. Dean, God only knows. That will thrill Kerry to no end, since voters won't focus on just him and Edwards then.

So far, the real winner in these primaries has been the American People. Corny, I know, but voter turnout has been at record levels at each primary. Hell, turnout in South Carolina was double the previous record set in 1992, I think it was, with a measly 120,000 voters. I realize 200,000 doesn't seem like much to crow about, but when your state is mostly Republican, getting 10% of the voting population to take part in the primaries is a pretty big deal, IMO. Hopefully that means more voters in November as well. If Edwards is on the ticket, I think there's a chance that the Democrats might win South Carolina for the first time since Carter ran against Reagan.

The important thing is that people are getting involved again. Hopefully this will translate into continued high turnout, as well as some more decent people getting into politics at the state and federal level.

I second that. I wanted to be pleased about the turnout for Arnold here during the recall, but a lot of it was just uneducated morons voting to be cool who won't vote again until the next Arnold comes along.

This is genuine turnout, and it's a good sign. I sort of hope Bush gets re-elected so that the 2008 election might show how Republicans turn out, for caucuses and primaries, too.

Well, look at it this way: How many ads have you seen on tv for Al Sharpton? How many radio or newspaper adverts? None, right? If Joe had saved some money, he would have been able to stay in longer too.

    Give in. Believe. BELIEVE.

Does that mean that if Joe didn't pay his bills he'd do better, too?
