One of the handfull of RPGs that i enjoyed playing quite a bit. i liked the games style, characters, and setting.

    14. Virtua Tennis
best Tennis game since Super Tennis (up until that point). great controls, music, and excellent multiplayer.

    13. Virtual On Series
easily my favorite mech game. great style, character designs, and action.

    12. ChuChu Rocket
possibly my favorite puzzle game. ranks in my top 3 with Puzzle Fighter and Tetris Attack.

    11. Fantasy Zone
man, i love everything about this game. everything about it is fantastic.

    10. Streets of Rage Series
great style, amazingly good music, and an awesome game to play when drunk. especially part 1. didn't spend much time with part 3, but at one point in time, all i needed out of my Genesis, or even gaming for that matter, was Streets of Rage 2.

    9. Jet Set Radio Series
ah, the days of Dreamcast's prime. this game just did everything right.

    8. Space Harrier
beautiful game. really awesome style, good music, and just a joy to play or watch.

    7. Daytona USA
it's Daytona. what more needs to be said?

    6. Sega Rally Series
to this day, this is my favorite Rally Racing game. i still prefer it over the very good Rally Racing modes from other games too.

    5. Super Hang-On
it' just Motorcycle racing action. with super good music that's keeps up with the action no less. easily the best Motorcycle racing game ever. i'll take this over Namco's MotoGP series even.

    4. Shenmue Series
this game just has something about it. i dunno, i can't really explain it, but like, i just get happy thinking about it.

    3. Phantasy Star Online Series
my first real online gaming experience. i spent a lot of time with this one, and even played it for 3 days straight when i first got my hands on it.

    2. OutRun
this game is just special. it does everything right, and then some. i can never say no to this game. easily one of the best games of all time.

    1. Rez
perfection. it blended everything flawlessly. i don't know what to add. this would easily make it into my top 20 of all time.

other Sega games that i'd like to play more of, or just play all together are Super Monkey Ball, Cosmic Smash, Super GT, F335 Challenge. i really do get the feeling that if i play F355 Challenge, it's gonna make it on to the list without effort.

You mean there's actually good emulation of it now?! Or do you have access to the real thing? The last time I tried it on Modeler, it wasn't quite playable enough.

  3. Rez (PS2)
    Nights (SAT)
    Super Monkey Ball (GC)
    Shinobi (PS2)
    Crazy Taxi (DC)
    Sonic Adventure (DC)
    Shenmue series (DC)
    Chu Chu Rocket (DC)
    Sonic 3 (GEN)
    Shinobi 3 (GEN)
    Golden Axe (GEN)
    Virtua Tennis (DC)
House of the Dead 2 (DC)
    Panzer Dragoon Orta (XBOX)
    Sega Rally 2 (DC)

  4. There's some decent emulation of it. It plays and looks pretty good.

  5. 1. Crazy Taxi: One of my top five favorite games of all time, its just phenominal.

    2. Rez: Nothing else in the world like it, I don't care if it "plays" like some other games, nothing else is like it. Everything ties into each other, its an experience, also top 5 material.

    3. Shenmue II: It goes so far beyond Shenmue 1 that its not even funny. It took all the basic ideas of Shenmue 1 and just went crazy. While 1 kept you in a small town, II took you to three vastly different areas full of exploration and just plain interesting things to occupy your time while increasing story events ten fold.

    4. Super Monkey Ball 1: Blows all other ball rolling games out of the water, even its inventor Marble Maddness. Its packed with that Arcade feel, great personality, design, and just overall uniquness. And it has a fantastic level of challange.

    5. Space Harrier: In the same boat as a lot of Segas arcade greats, simple but oozing with creativity and challange.

    6. Gunvalkyrie: I was a huge doubter of the this game based on intitial previews and reviews, and then when I actually got to play it I was blown away. Great control (once you learn it) and fantastic worlds.

    7. Outrun: For me it goes well beyond all other racers of its ilk, wether it be Pole Postition or whatever.

    8. Jet Set Radio Future: Yes I said FUTURE. I find this game to be about 600 times more fun than its original. The original is just clunky, this game is smooth and just a blast to play.

    9. Virtua Tennis: Multiplayer is where this game is really at for me, but the single player modes add a lot and actually make you a better player.

    10. Panzer Draoon Orta: For me this game is all about the places you visit, glorious creative levels that literally pull you in. Coupled with phenominal on rails shooting action.

    11. House of the Dead 2: One of the best light gun games of all time, great levels and enemy design. Plenty of events to keep you interested, and to actually use your ability to aim rather than just pount on the trigger.

    12. Sonic the Hedghog: I really have to say that overall I like the first one the most. Maybe if I play some more of 3 that opinion will change, but I have played them all except for Heroes and Chaotix and nothing feels as good as 1. And Sonic CD is by FAR my least favorite, that game is a god damn mess, worst level design I have ever seen and I am dead serious.

    13. Cosmic Smash: Everything about this game is neat, feels like it fits into the Rez universe in a way. Nothing else quite like it.

    14. Shinobi III: While I prefer Ninja Gaiden for my Ninja games this one is fantastic, great feel and look. And nothing is quite like riding that horse.

    15. Kid Chameleon: Wonderfull title that I never played until more recently. Neat concept, and about 8 billion levels.
