You know what is funny? I bet if all these guys were put in the same position in a videogame they wouldn't think twice about it because they know the risks.

Now check this out for more info:
    http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/apache.asp

Army officials acknowledged that the 30 mm cannons used by the Apache gunners were far bigger than what was needed to kill the men, but said it is the smallest weapon the Apaches have.

That's nothing when you look at what soldiers did in nam when they used war as an excuse to glorify killing women and children who where only trying to flee from the battlefield. There really isn't anything more disgusting in this world when you compare how a seriel killer's activities mean little compared to the people who slaughtered innocent lives and received metals for their trouble.

While I'm not completely sure I don't think anybody got a medal for murdering civilians in Vietnam, for the most part they award medals to men who go beyond the call of duty to help their fellow soldiers, not by enemy body-count.

Yes. This is why I am not a soldier. Thank you for stating the obvious. To me, someone who will probably never witness something similar to that firsthand (at least, I hope not), it's pretty damn impressive.

    But thanks! I appreciate it.

  8. I'm really disgusted.

I mean, you guys should know better. Why couldn't the Apache pilot have landed his bird, gotten out of the thing and asked if the guys were surrendering. Then, the guys who were enemies before would say: "No you American pig." and they'd let the guy in the Apache go back to his chopper, lift off and finish them off.

It's been said before in this thread... war isn't nice or pretty.

You are a retard. Let's get that out of the way, and move on.

Do you understand what hit him?

A 30mm Chaingun, which shoots about 20 times for every tracer you see. Those things fire Depleted Uranium shells, that will go through a tank's armor.

Dude get's hit with that it's not like he's going to get up, walk home and play poker with the guys around 9 PM.

They probably ended his life about 10 seconds before he was going to bleed out and die.

    More humane that way.
